Publication Date: 1963 Book Subject: Life with a crazy poodle PContact: Mary Wood Book Summary: Coco is a brown miniature poodle who lives with the author/illustrator. She is both a joy and a terror to live with, and she wouldn't have it any other way. The author says, "Coco was busy being different the first day that I saw her, aged seven weeks, throwing her weight around a kennel in London. I can see now that it was she who bought me, rather than the other way round." Recommendations/Comments: This is a charming and witty book--Coco definitely has attitude. From the opening page, with a drawing of Coco and a red pump clutched firmly in her teeth, you know this is a poodle to be reckoned with! Her adventures and outlook on life parallel many of the stories read on Poodle-L. I found this book on eBay, for it is out of print, and I highly recommend picking up a copy to add to your poodle collection, if you find one.
