American Belgian Tervuren YES, held mid April to mid-June National Specialty rotates around the country, primarily between three divisions. Past five years have been at - St Louis, MO - Silverdale, WA - Kansas City, MO - Atlanta, GA, & Long Beach, CA Yes 2 days of agility, a herding test and trial, tracking including a TD, TDX and a VST, and a full obedience trial (regular & non-regular classes) Must be voted in for full membership. Voted on by board of directors after a 1 year associate membership. Open membership (anyone can join and vote.)
American Bloodhound YES National Specialty which rotates across our six regional club geography. This year it is being held in Eureka, Mo. Yes obedience, tracking and trailing. All new members need two sponsors who are in good standing with the ABC. They will be automatically approved if not contested and will have a full membership. We do not have a non-voting membership.

American Water Spaniel YES We rotate between the Midwest and West. 2002 was in MN, this year in Idaho. No place for 2004 yet. Yes Obedience and AWS hunt tests. Our entry is small enough that we have obedience before confirmation during the week and two hunt tests on the weekend. We have individual, household and associate. Anyone can join, household and individual must have two AWSC member sponsors.

Beagle Club YES Travels around the country but every 5 years it is at the National Beagle Club grounds near Aldie, VA (last year was Aldie, before that Pigeon Forge, TN, Ft. Worth, TX, before Delevan, WI, Sacramento, CA,) This year is Portland, OR Yes Obedience, Agility, Firld Trials (Held separately from the Conformation Specialty Show and always in Aldie, VA) Regular and Supporting; Yes, but Associate members can vote for the Specialty judges, while the Regular members cannot. Regular members are primarily field trial people. Supporting members are represented by an elected by them member of the Board who can vote at Board meetings.

Bearded Collie Club YES In the past five years, the specialties have been held in Monterey, California (2002); Hunt Valley, MD (2001) Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (2000); Olympia, WA (1999); and Bedford, MA (1998). The 2003 specialty will be in Asheville, North Carolina. Yes Obedience - about 1/2 day, Agility - one day, Herding - one day Applicant must be over age 18 and sponsored by a current member, applicant's name appears in the monthly newsletter and then the board votes on the application at its next meeting following publication.
Bedlington Terrier Club YES Montgomery County Kennel Club Show, Ambler Pennsylvania, Will be offered there for at least through 2006 No There is a 3 day agility trial for terriers before the Montgomery County Show. We offer full memberships that are voted in and overseas memberships that have no voting rights but are still voted on.

Border Collie Club YES Purina Farms in Grey Summit, MO since our first specialty in '96, skipping Y2K, when we didn't have one due to budget constraints. Having it there again this fall. We'd like to move around the country eventually, but the free use of the grounds there is hard to beat... Especially daunting for us is finding affordable herding trial accommodations that are in close proximity to a place where we can host the rest of the event, as we don't want herding to be segregated, we like to take our judges ed people to the grounds to see dogs work. German Shorthaired Yes Our show rotates through three sections. In 2003 it was in Riverside, CA. In 2002 it was in Hutto, TX. In 2001 it was in Jacksonville, FL. In 2000 it was in Vancouver, WA. In 1999 it was in St. Paul, MN. Next year it will be in Lancaster, PA. Yes We offer at least one obedience trial. Agility was offered in 2002, 2001 and in 2000 for the first time. Giant Schnauzer Yes The United States is divided into 4 regions and the national is rotated every year from one region to the next. this year it was held in the eastern region and next year it will be held in the southern region. the regional specialty is usually held in conjunction with the national when it is their region. we are a national club only, we have no regional or local clubs. Harriers Yes Due to the vast majority of Harriers being in California, all of our Nationals have been in California. (2003 was our 5th National.) Yes Field Trials, Agility Trials, Obedience,Sweepstake and regular Breed Conformation with the addition of Veteran, Field Trial, Stud Dog and Brood Bitch classes. West Highland White Terrier Club Yes The WHWTCA offers two Nationals per year. The "main" national is always held October in conjunction with the Montgomery County Kennel Club show in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
