Poll to Parent Breed Clubs

 

Hello, we, as a few AKC registered poodle owners, would like to take a little of your time  to find out how our National Specialty compares to other breed national specialty shows.  Be aware that we are not doing this under the auspices of the PCA (Poodle Club of America) but just as interested poodle owners.  We will send the results on to our parent club for their information to use as they deem fit.  We will also send you the results of our poll if you are interested.

1.      Do you have an Annual National Specialty Show?
Yes   

 

2.      If so, where has it been held for the last five years?  Where will your next show be held?

       Our National Specialty rotates between the four regions - 2003 - Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX; 2002 - Kentucky, 2001 - Pennsylvania;;;; 2000 - San Diego, CA; and next year will be 2004 - Olympia, WA.

3.      Do you offer performance events at this show?

     Yes

4.      If so, which ones and how many days are devoted to each event?

 

i.         Obedience - depending on which Region we are in it can go from 1/2 day to a whole day.

 

ii.       Rally Obedience
Haven't had this event yet - only demonstration. 

 

iii.      Agility

                     Yes - again depending on which Region we are in it can go from 1/2 day to a whole day.

iv.     Field Trials

                     Our Field Trials (National Field and National Hunt Test) are separate events.

v.       Others

                     Junior Showmanship

5.      What type of membership do you offer   

            Single, Family, Senior, Junior

 

i.         Must be voted in for full membership

             Yes

ii.       Full membership (voting) and Associate (non-voting)

             All memberships are full memberships -voting - no associate memberships

iii.Open membership (anyone can join and vote.)
