Hi! Here are our answers, and yes, we'd be interested in learning what your results are, as we are a new club on the scene, and still developing our long-term plan for our national. It's always helpful to learn from other clubs. Thanks for taking the time to do the research. Michelle Olsen BCSA Rec. Sec. 1. Do you have an Annual National Specialty Show? Yes 2. If so, where has it been held for the last five years? Where will your next show be held? -->Purina Farms in Grey Summit, MO since our first specialty in '96, skipping Y2K, when we didn't have one due to budget constraints. Having it there again this fall. We'd like to move around the country eventually, but the free use of the grounds there is hard to beat... Especially daunting for us is finding affordable herding trial accommodations that are in close proximity to a place where we can host the rest of the event, as we don't want herding to be segregated, we like to take our judges ed people to the grounds to see dogs work. 3. Do you offer performance events at this show? Absolutely, it's our top priority, we're Border Collies! ;-) 4. If so, which ones and how many days are devoted to each event? i. Obedience: 2 days ii. Rally Obedience: 1-2 days iii. Agility: 2 days iv. Field Trials (Herding:) 3 days -->Also Conformation 2 days, Sweeps 1 day v. Others: Tracking, except for this year for lack of a chair volunteer. Also offer health & training seminars, clinics, games, club's annual meeting, a huge rescue benefit auction, judges ed seminar, & a fun match this year for performance titled dogs. (a) Specify 5.
